Mom’s Day Out | Personal | Family Time
So May is a busy month for me. Not only because it normally is when weddings start up but it’s also the busiest family season for me. My mom’s birthday is May 7th, her Anniversary with my Step-Dad is May 10, Mother’s Day was May 11th and at the end of the month I have my Sister in-laws birthday and Step-Dads birthday back to back. Whew that’s a lot to remember on top of the weddings and sessions scheduled. Despite all that I wanted to share how important it is to make time for your family. This means making time for my beautiful wonderful and ever supportive mother! LOVE YOU MOM!!
Every year my mom always asks for the typical, clothes, some necklaces to go with her outfits, maybe a potted plant for outside. Nothing to big. This year marks the year of firsts! When I got married last month my mother and myself made a pack to spend at least one day with 0 interruptions on a mother daughter date! Since May was the first month after the wedding and she had a lot of special events in her life I wanted to make it special. Even though my mom says just get me something little, don’t spend a lot, I know that some quality bonding time is better than any present I could buy her. Plus she loves pedicures! Way to the woman’s heart.. pedicures, Snyder’s BBQ Chips and a bowl of Breyer’s Vanilla bean ice cream. Oh and don’t forget the sweet ice tea! But I digress. My mom started the day off by going to LUV Manicure and Pedicure Salon where I surprised her with a birthday bash. They gave her a cupcake and she got to keep whatever polish she wanted. She was so surprised when they brought out a cupcake and candle for her.
After that we headed to lunch. Nothing crazy just got a sandwich and wrap at Red Robin. All in all we had a great day! I hope to keep our little tradition for future May Mom Daughter dates. Thanks again Mom for being so wonderful, supportive and most of all loving! I couldn’t of asked for a better mother you truly are an amazing woman! Happy Birthday (29 and still holding, right?!?), Mother’s Day and Anniversary! :-* Muah!
