Blush Pink and Gold Wedding
The reception was filled with handmade details, gold glitter bottles, antique frames and gorgeous vintage garden seed packets. Memories filled the antique frames of their great-grandparents, parents and aunts and uncles wedding days. Photos that had been passed down and cherished throughout the years. The memories of those days still present. An anniversary dance that showed how love never fails when you work hard at your marriage. The love still in his grandparents eyes of whom had been married for over sixty years. They danced on the dance floor as if for the first time. We all watched as we knew this amazing example was there to support the marriage and love of Carla and Tom. These photos from today would be the ones in their children’s frames in the year’s to come. The photos that I get to capture on a wedding day are so much more than just the photos. I get the honor to be a part of one of the most important and meaningful days in my clients lives. I can’t even explain the joy that fills my heart as I watched Carla and Tom recite their vows to each other. You could see the love each of them had for each other. They spoke their vows to each other like there was no one else in the church.
Carla’s dad spoke about how Tom and Carla met in high school and finally decided to date after many years of being friends and “hanging out”, as he said the only one this news of dating seemed to be new to was Carla and Tom. As each of their parents and siblings knew what they already had for each other, they could already see the love the had for one another. Then the story Tom’s best man, Jake, told about the many times Tom told him about the first time he knew he was in love with Carla and the day and time kept getting earlier and earlier each time they talked about the story. This story of how Tom couldn’t imagine a time when he didn’t love Carla. This love that bloomed out of friendship.
“Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.” – Ann Landers
I can not wait to see all the wonderful things in store for your future as Husband and Wife. I know that with each passing day your love will only grow deeper for each other. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Tom and Carla Ott!
Why I am leaning over I have no idea! Totally taking this from one of my fav photog teams, Amy and Jordan Demos, but we have now completed the Sarah Sandwich! On a side note did anyone notice how awesome Carla’s dress is… doesn’t it look so familiar… 😉

OBSESSED with this!!! As a child growing up, I HATED pink because it was forced on me… but now as an adult… blush pinks are sooooo pretty. I love these images. Fantastic job!
